‘Twilight’ saga returns

The Twilight Saga is returning to the silver screen at Cinemark Theaters from Feb. 8 to 12.

The series, originally published as a book series by Stephenie Meyer from 2005 to 2008, has been experiencing its own renaissance as fans recirculate crazy head canons and weird series lore.

The films, which debuted from 2008 to 2012, include five films across the four-book series: “Twilight,” “New Moon,” “Eclipse,” “Breaking Dawn: Part 1” and “Breaking Dawn: Part 2.”

The story follows Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) as she falls for not one, but two supernatural beings: vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and werewolf (Taylor Lautner).

Both then and now, the books and films had a cult following, as fans took sides between “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob.”

The project was criticized for its gauche acting and storytelling, but has seen retrospective love as a “camp” classic.

Dedicated “Twilight” lovers have since seen Meyer release a novella, a gender swapped retelling and a rewrite of the first novel from the perspective of Edward every five years since its debut.

As the series approached its 20th birthday this September, many are expecting Meyers to release a new edition. Some creators are hoping to see a sequel novel between Jacob and his love interest — [SPOILER] the love child of Bella and Edward.

In the meantime, theatergoers can revisit the early 2000s, as Cinemark prepares to show each of the films in sequential order, with one film on each of the five days.
