Eliyahu Gasson

Eliyahu is a senior from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is majoring in Multiplatform Journalism and minoring in Philosophy. He is the current vice president of the Duquesne University chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. He has held internships at Point Park University’s Next Generation Newsroom and 90.5 WESA. This is Eliyahu’s fourth semester as an editor at The Duke.

Kaitlyn Hughes
News Editor
Kaitlyn is a second-semester junior from the south hills of Pittsburgh. She is double majoring in Multiplatform Journalism and Digital Media Arts while pursuing a Pre-Law Certificate. Kaitlyn is the current president of the Duquesne University chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and editor-in-chief of Off the Bluff, a student-produced magazine. She was the 2025 recipient of Trib Total Media’s Jim Borden Scholarship and spent her summer as an intern in their Greensburg office. She has also interned with Pittsburgh Magazine. This is Kaitlyn’s third semester as an editor at The Duke.

Ben is a first-semester junior from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He is majoring in Sports Information & Media. He started as a staff writer during his sophomore year at Duquesne and is currently serving as the sports editor for The Duke. Ben interned at fan-run news source Steelernation.com as a freshman and is currently an intern at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. This is Ben’s first semester as an editor for The Duke.
