Pumpkin spice lattes are back at Starbucks. This week it is going to be 90 degrees. The world is sending mixed messages about what season it truly is.

Late August/early September is this period of limbo where although it is the fall semester, it still feels like summer.

I’m sick of summer. I want to go on hay rides, pick apples or carve a pumpkin. I yearn for the weather where I can comfortably wear a knit sweater. But I can’t, and you shouldn’t sit around waiting for the leaves to change and for the summer heat to break.

When it is the dead of winter and you are stuck scraping ice off your car windshield you are going to wish you enjoyed summer while it was still here.

Go outside and enjoy it while it lasts.
