Three years ago, still in high school, I took a class field trip to go vote in a small school board election. I didn’t see the importance of it, after all it wasn’t the “big one” that happens every four years.

Local elections are often neglected, deemed not worth the effort, that’s far from the truth. Local elections are just as, if not, more important than general elections. The decisions of your local politicians directly affect you and those around you. So if you care about anything I suggest you educate yourself and get out and vote!
